Last month, I watched and loved ‘The dark knight.’ Although I still consider the 1989 ‘Batman’ to be my all-time favorite film, ‘TDK’ was loads deeper about the significance of these superheroes and supervillains to society. The most important thing was its relegation of Batman as a hero necessarily above the law, because the citizens of Gotham deserve no better. Only when the people’s culture is raised would a legitimate leader such as Harvey Dent fit in.

We normally would consider compliance or obedience to the law to be necessary for peace and prosperity. Less thought is given as to the type of law that is being followed. An example of prosperity despite laws beneath humanity’s full dignity is Singapore.
